Arizona Safe Boating Celebration

The 8th Annual Celebration
May 21, 2011

Lake Pleasant, AZ
8 AM to 12 PM

The Maricopa County Lake Pleasant Regional Park department and the Phoenix Sail and Power Squadron will again be hosting an opportunity to learn more about the park and at the same time have a free vessel safety inspection as you arrive at the ten lane launch ramp on the south end of the lake. Popsicles will be provided to all (while the supply lasts) that participate in the vessel safety exam. Our thanks to Shamrock Dairy for providing the popsicles and their continued support of boating safety.

The 2nd Annual Ready Set Inflate world record attempt will be held on Saturday, May 21st, at the start of National Safe Boating Week. Join the Phoenix Sail and Power Squadron and others around the world to make your mark in history by beating last year's record of 1,154. If you have an inflateable life vest and would like to join the event, please do. AZ Game & Fish Department has a supply of recharge cartridges to replace the the ones you expend.
